Soccer Recap: Patuxent vs. Calverton
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chopticon, Patuxent was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Calverton. The score was all tied up 2-2 at the break, but the Panthers were the better team in the second half.
The win got Patuxent back to even at 3-3-1. As for Calverton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2-1.
Patuxent will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Great Mills. Patuxent is facing Great Mills at the right time seeing as Great Mills is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Calverton, they have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Takoma Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Calverton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.5 goals per game this season.
