Baseball Recap: Green Canyon Comes Up Short

Green Canyon lost against Mountain Crest back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wolves took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.

Green Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Mountain Crest, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green Canyon will take on Ridgeline at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Riverhawks' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Wolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Mountain Crest, they will challenge Timpanogos at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Timberwolves will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
