Chilton County hadn't done well against Calera recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Mallie Harrison made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 11 matchups.
In other batting news, Brianna Goggins was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. Macey Pierce was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Chilton County pushed their record up to 31-8-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
