Recap: Williamsville Bullets vs. Tolono Unity Rockets

It was a good run, but the Williamsville Bullets unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 51-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tolono Unity. While losing is never fun, Williamsville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Tolono Unity is ranked 28th).

Williamsville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Scott, who scored 15 points. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Brayden Saling, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.

Williamsville's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Tolono Unity, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Williamsville and St. Joseph-Ogden will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Tolono Unity and Maroa-Forsyth will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
