Baseball Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

Clinton lost against Shelbyville back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Maroons fell just short of the Rams by a score of 4-3.

Cole Fentress made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Colton Walker was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Clinton now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Shelbyville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

While Clinton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
