Volleyball Recap: Holly Takes a Loss

If Holly was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Kim/Branson on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Eads Eagles on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

While Holly was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-22, 25-12.

Lillian Parker paced Holly's offense, picking up five kills. Parker got some help from Makynna Neugebauer and her ten assists. Finally, Tressa Korum kept Holly's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Holly's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Eads, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Holly didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Wiley on the 23rd. As for Eads, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Walsh on the 26th.
