Volleyball Recap: Crestview Comes Up Short

Crestview and Tate squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Crestview had to settle for second. They came up short against the Aggies, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Crestview was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-22, 25-23.

When it comes to explaining why Crestview lost, don't look at Kelsey Griffin. Despite the final result, she had 24 digs and two assists. Griffin has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 19 times she's played.

Crestview's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Tate, they pushed their record up to 20-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Crestview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tate, they will square off against Gulf Breeze at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
