Football Recap: Medina Takes a Loss

If Medina was riding high fresh off their 56-6 takedown of Kennedy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs took a 45-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eden/North Collins Raiders on Friday. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Brady Waring produced another solid performance throwing for 371 yards and six touchdowns, while also rushing for 113 yards and one score for Eden/North Collins. What's more, Waring racked up 142 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Silas Nellis also helped out as he racked up 112 receiving yards.

Medina's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Eden/North Collins, their record is now 4-1.

Medina wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 49-8 win against Tonawanda on the 9th. As for Eden/North Collins, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 35-7 victory against Cardinal O'Hara on the 10th.
