Softball Recap: Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers vs. Madeira Snails
After flying high against Connelly School of the Holy Child back in March, Georgetown Day came back down to earth. The Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers fell just short of the Madeira Snails by a score of 14-13 on Tuesday. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
Ella Lynn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Snyder, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Georgetown Day now has a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Georgetown Day will take on Bullis at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Madeira, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Andrew's Episcopal at 4:15 p.m. on April 26th.
