 Whitman put another one in the bag  on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Wootton Patriots with a sharp  8-2 win. Considering Whitman has won five contests by more than five  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
  Marcus Dober was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.  Sammy Berman was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Whitman's victory was  their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Wootton, they  haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
 Whitman didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  10-9  win vs. Churchill on the 13th. As for Wootton, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Rockville at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday.
