Football Recap: Joshua Lorusso's Big Game Can't Quite Lead FCA B over Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology + How To Watch

FCA B extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 0-5. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 28-24 heartbreaker at the hands of the Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology Colonials. On the bright side, the 24- point performance marked the Bucks' highest-scoring contest to date.

Several Bucks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joshua LoRusso, who threw for 194 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 31 yards and one TD. Another receiver making a difference was Silas Jones, who picked up 108 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

As for Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.8 points on average over those games.

A big part of Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology's win came down to the chemistry between Landen Matis and his top target Jason Gallo. Matis threw for 266 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 12.7 yards per attempt while Gallo picked up 142 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Gallo's longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards.

Looking ahead, FCA B will venture away from home to challenge Central Maryland Christian C at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology, they will face off against Lewis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Colonials their first taste of in-conference action this season.
