Volleyball Recap: Carroll Comes Up Short

Carroll lost against Northwestern back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Tigers. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Carroll was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 25-19.

Mady Isley paced Carroll's offense, picking up six kills. Isley really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 16. Finally, she was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Northwestern, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carroll will challenge Lafayette Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northwestern, they will welcome Wabash at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
