Volleyball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pierce City on Thursday, Skyline came back down to earth. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the Strafford Indians on Monday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-17, 22-25, 25-20, 25-15.

Skyline's offense was headlined by Kimber Henderson and Tymber Pinon, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Leslie Caselman and her 12 assists. Finally, Pinon was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high seven blocks.

Strafford was led to victory by Brooklynne Lumley and Lydia Goodin. Lumley had ten digs and three aces, while Goodin had ten digs and three assists.

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5-1. As for Strafford, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1-2.

Skyline wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Stockton on the 23rd. As for Strafford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Licking on the 23rd.
