Football Recap: Temecula Prep Comes Up Short

Temecula Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 17-10 to the Rubidoux Falcons. The Patriots were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Jesus Vasquez had a dynamite game For Rubidoux., rushing for 153 yards and one TD while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. Those 153 rushing yards gave Vasquez a new career-high.

Temecula Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Rubidoux, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Coming up, Temecula Prep will head out on the road to face off against San Jacinto Valley Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots will be up against the Wolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Rubidoux, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on La Sierra at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. This will be the Falcons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
