Basketball Recap: Holly Hill Academy Takes a Loss

Holly Hill Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Wardlaw Academy Patriots, falling 44-20. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 51-20 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2021.

Despite the loss, Holly Hill Academy still got an impressive performance from Kaley Bell, who posted eight points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Bell a new career-high in points.

Holly Hill Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Wardlaw Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.
