Volleyball Recap: Three Straight Road Victories for Cristo Rey St. Martin

Cristo Rey St. Martin won the last time they faced Lake County Baptist and things went their way on Thursday too. The CRSM came out on top against the Lions by a score of 2-0.

Cristo Rey St. Martin easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-20.

Jareli Olivares-Kelley paced Cristo Rey St. Martin's offense, picking up two kills. Olivares-Kelley got some help from Maya Adan and her three assists. Olivares-Kelley also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Deisi Pineda, each putting up four.

Cristo Rey St. Martin pushed their record up to 10-11-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lake County Baptist, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Coming up, Cristo Rey St. Martin will take on Waukegan in a tournament on Saturday. Lake County Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
