Volleyball Game Preview: Epiphany Falcons vs. Rocky Mount Academy Eagles + How To Watch

Epiphany is 0-10 against Rocky Mount Academy since August of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Falcons will face off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Epiphany took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Harrells Christian Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Falcons won by a set and slipped past the Crusaders 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (107-105) Epiphany actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-20, 24-26, 26-24, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Rocky Mount Academy waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Chargers.

In the three sets Rocky Mount Academy was on fire: they won each by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 22-25, 25-11, 25-9.

Rocky Mount Academy's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Epiphany, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.

Epiphany suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Rocky Mount Academy when the teams last played back in September. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
