Basketball Recap: DASH United vs. South Wake Sabres
It was a good run, but DASH unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They had to suffer through a 94-53 loss at the hands of the South Wake Sabres. While losing is never fun, the United can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 435th, while the Sabres are ranked 214th).

DASH lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jason Judd, who posted 16 points. Judd's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Josh Taylor, who had seven points in addition to five rebounds and five blocks.
South Wake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Noah Wright led the charge by going 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points along with five assists and five steals. Those five steals gave Wright a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Jones, who put up 11 points in addition to five assists and five boards.
DASH's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for South Wake, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
DASH will look to defend their home court on Monday against Star Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. South Wake has already played their next contest, a 58-56 win against Durham Flight HomeSchool on the 25th.
