Union Grove and Overton are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Union Grove Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Overton Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Union Grove sitting on five straight victories and Overton on eight.

Union Grove will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating McLeod, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Union Grove took down McLeod 54-38 last Friday.

Arp typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Overton proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 50-43 win over the Tigers. 50 seems to be a good number for the Mustangs as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Union Grove pushed their record up to 20-13 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Overton, their victory bumped their record up to 22-5.

Union Grove came up short against Overton in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 50-38. Can Union Grove avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
