Volleyball Recap: Arizona College Prep Takes a Loss

Arizona College Prep lost against Perry back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Knights came up short against the Pumas, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Knights have suffered since November 7, 2024.

Arizona College Prep was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 25-20.

Laela Barksdale paced Arizona College Prep's offense, picking up five kills. Barksdale got some help from Riley Thomson and her 11 assists. Finally, Reyna Jones kept Arizona College Prep's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

This is the second loss in a row for Arizona College Prep and nudges their season record down to 3-8. As for Perry, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Coming up, Arizona College Prep will venture away from home to face off against Basha at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Perry, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Corona del Sol on the 3rd.
