Basketball Game Preview: Lawton Blue Devils vs. Kellogg Panthers

The Lawton Blue Devils will venture away from home to take on the Kellogg Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawton will be strutting in after a victory while Kellogg will be coming in after a loss.

Last Friday, Lawton beat Parchment 45-32. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Panthers are ranked 447th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Kellogg came up short against Martin on Friday and fell 40-31. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Clippers recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Lawton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Kellogg, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Everything came up roses for Lawton against Kellogg in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 52-16 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lawton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
