Softball Recap: Fort Edward Flying Forts vs. Argyle Scots

If Fort Edward was feeling good fresh off their 12-0 takedown of Hadley Luzerne two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Flying Forts fell 8-4 to the Argyle Scots on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Flying Forts of the 23-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Bradie Tyler put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off ten hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Felicity Columbetti made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ollie Cutler, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
