Basketball Recap: Howard Comes Up Short

Howard lost against Westside back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Howard Huskies took a blow against the Westside Seminoles, falling 55-23. The Huskies 's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Taylor Talton had a dynamite game for Westside, going 9 for 21 on her way to 21 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Talton has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bre?Elle King, who posted five points along with 11 rebounds and six steals.

Howard's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Westside, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Howard will face off against Westside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Howard is facing Westside at the right time seeing as Westside is stuck on a 21-game losing streak. As for Westside, they will head out on the road to face off against Morgan County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
