Soccer Game Preview: Navarre vs. Bozeman

The Navarre Raiders will take on the Bozeman Bucks in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Navarre has three straight victories, Bozeman has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

If Navarre beats Bozeman with seven goals on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Navarre was the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over Rocky Bayou Christian on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won six matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Rocky Bayou Christian from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Jasun Martinez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Bozeman fell victim to Walton and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Braves, falling 7-0.

Navarre's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those six games. As for Bozeman, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10-1.

Everything went Navarre's way against Bozeman when the teams last played back in November, as Navarre made off with an 8-0 victory. Will Navarre repeat their success, or does Bozeman have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
