Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Caney Valley). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 79-31 victory over the Erie Red Devils. With the Bullpups ahead 54-20 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

When it comes to explaining why Erie lost, don't look at Jacksen Powell. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. Powell is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Caney Valley's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Erie, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caney Valley will face off against Fredonia on Tuesday. Caney Valley is facing Fredonia at the right time seeing as Fredonia is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Erie, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eureka on Monday.
