Lecanto was sadly handed a defeat on Saturday, but Abigail Males did her best to prevent it. Males was unstoppable, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Males and Lecanto will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against DeLand at 2:30 p.m. Coming in off a loss to The Villages Charter in their last outing, DeLand is looking for some redemption.
