Football Recap: Raymond Central Skates Past Conestoga with Ease

There's no place like home for Raymond Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Conestoga Cougars, posting a 39-7 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their 12-point performance the contest before.

Wyatt Jelinek continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 166 yards and one TD on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Tavion Johnson, who picked up 95 receiving yards and one score.

Raymond Central's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.3 points on average over those games. As for Conestoga, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
