Great Bend waltzed into their contest on Saturday with 14 straight wins... but they left with 15. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Liberal Redskins. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-0 victory two weeks ago.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Great Bend got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-27, 25-16.

Alex Mayers paced Great Bend's offense, picking up 11 kills. Mayers got some help from Kya Behr and her 30 assists.

Great Bend's win bumped their record up to 24-9. As for Liberal, they dropped their record down to 5-23-2 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home.
