Malcom Smith, Jr. Delivers Best Performance of Season

Malcom Smith, Jr. produced his most outstanding game to date while leading SEED to the win on Thursday. Smith, Jr. rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 137 yards and three touchdowns.

The victory (which was SEED's sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Smith, Jr. and SEED will face off against KIPP College Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Jayden Yates Delivers Electric Effort Vs Virginia Academy

Jayden Yates put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Saturday. He rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 109 yards on nine of 20 attempts. He also made an appearance on special teams (luckily for Saint James): his a 53-yard strike wound up winning them the game.

Yates is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Potomac School on Saturday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Yates saw the Panthers), he rushed for 277 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 16.3 yards per carry.

Liam Hall Makes It Two for Saint James

He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 59 yards.

Riverdale Baptist's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Cobb and Riverdale Baptist are on the road again on Friday to play Hayfield at 7:00 p.m.
