Jackson South Side was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lexington Tigers. On the bright side, the seven- run effort marked the Hawks' highest-scoring contest to date.

Jackson South Side's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Lexington, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 19-8-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jackson South Side will square off against Hardin County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lexington, they will head out to take on McNairy Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
