Softball Recap: Messalonskee Sets Scoring Season-High Against Nokomis

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Messalonskee). They put the hurt on the Nokomis Warriors with a sharp 12-2 victory on Friday. The Eagles not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 13, 2024 (when they won 11-1).

Messalonskee's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Nokomis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Messalonskee will welcome Brewer at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Witches will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Nokomis, they will be playing at home against Oceanside at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors are facing the Mariners at the right time seeing as the Mariners are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
