Soccer Game Preview: Kingsbury vs. Whitehaven

The Kingsbury Falcons will face off against the Whitehaven Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Kingsbury is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

Last Tuesday, Kingsbury had just enough and edged out Brighton 3-2. Given Kingsbury's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Brighton are ranked 203rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Whitehaven had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. Their defense stepped up to hand Southwind a 9-0 shutout.

Kingsbury's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those six games. As for Whitehaven, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Kingsbury came out on top in a nail-biter against Whitehaven in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
