Volleyball Game Preview: Chico Panthers vs. Foothill Cougars

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Chico Panthers duke it out with Foothill Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Chico is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Chico not only won last Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 18, 2024. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Orland.

While Chico won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-23, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Foothill's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to Shasta. The loss was the Cougars' first of the season.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Shasta scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-19.

Having lost for the first time this season, Foothill fell to 3-1. As for Chico, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
