Soccer Game Preview: Lutheran vs. Adams City

The Lutheran Lions will square off against the Adams City Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Lutheran sitting on three straight victories and Adams City on six.

Lutheran barely beat Golden the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions' defense stepped up to hand the Demons a 4-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering Lutheran have won three contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Golden with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Rachel Robinson, Nadia Bochynski, Abby Megill, and Lillyaunna Norden.

Meanwhile, Adams City beat Thornton 2-0 on Thursday.

Adams City's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those three matchups. As for Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
