Football Recap: Hempstead Takes a Loss

Hempstead lost against Iowa City West back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs took a blow against the Trojans, falling 56-7. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Hempstead's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Iowa City West, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hempstead will venture away from home to challenge Waterloo West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Iowa City West, they will head out to square off against Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Trojans their first taste of in-conference action this season.
