            The Bloomfield Bobcats will square off against the Durango Demons at 11:00  a.m.  on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bloomfield has four straight  wins, Durango has 12 straight  defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Bloomfield had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Miyamura on Thursday. Bloomfield blew past Miyamura 11-5.
 Cable Carruth made a big impact no matter where he played. He  pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Carruth was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-2.
 Carruth wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Troy Jaramillo, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave  Jaramillo a new career-high in  RBI (two).  Johnny Yates was another,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Durango had to hit the road for their first game and  it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell  7-3 to Piedra Vista on Thursday.
Bloomfield's victory was  their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Durango, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
 Bloomfield took their  win against Durango  in their previous meeting  back in March of 2022 by a conclusive  17-7. Will Bloomfield repeat their success,  or does  Durango have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
