Soccer Game Preview: West Wendover vs. Lowry

The West Wendover Wolverines will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Lowry Buckaroos at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

West Wendover is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They lost 11-0 to Spanish Springs on Friday.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Lowry was not quite Spanish Springs' equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1.

West Wendover came out on top in a nail-biter against Lowry in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Buckaroos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
