Volleyball Recap: South Bend Saint Joseph Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South Bend Saint Joseph can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the New Prairie Cougars on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

New Prairie's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josie Woodham, who had 23 digs and one assist. Those 23 digs gave Woodham a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Riley Ernsperger, who had ten digs and three aces.

South Bend Saint Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 14-16. As for New Prairie, their record now sits at 14-17.

South Bend Saint Joseph does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Prairie, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Mishawaka Marian on the 18th.
