Recap: Cumberland Academy Knights vs. Bishop Gorman Crusaders
The Cumberland Academy Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 62-43 fall against Bishop Gorman. While losing is never fun, Cumberland Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1326th, while Bishop Gorman is ranked 459th).
Bishop Gorman's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Richbourg, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Richbourg continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Anthony Todd, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Cumberland Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Bishop Gorman, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

One thing working in Grace Community's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games. Bishop Gorman won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Henderson at 1:30 p.m. on December 28th. Henderson is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
