Basketball Recap: Sarasota Christian Takes a Loss

Sarasota Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 52-36 fall against the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder. The Blazers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Thunder earlier this season, when they won 41-28.

When it comes to explaining why Sarasota Christian lost, don't look at Ben Milliken. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Spenn, who earned six points.

Even though they lost, Sarasota Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Sarasota Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Out-of-Door Academy, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

When Sarasota Christian and Out-of-Door Academy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Sarasota Christian will face off against Riverview Sarasota and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Out-of-Door Academy will try to stop Canterbury's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
