Football Recap: Jaxon Stone's Menacing Defense Leads Floyd Central over Jeffersonville

Floyd Central won the last time they faced Jeffersonville and things went their way on Friday too. The Highlanders blew past the Red Devils 34-12. The result was nothing new for the Highlanders, who have now won four contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

Sebastion Robertson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 259 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Those 259 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Floyd Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 313 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 313 rushing yards in three consecutive matches.

Floyd Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jaxon Stone, Dovovan Taylor, and Nolan Lippert picked up one apiece.

Floyd Central's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Jeffersonville, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
