Volleyball Recap: Chariho Triumphs + How To Watch

Chariho was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They won by a set and slipped past the Cranston West Falcons 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Chargers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Chariho wouldn't go down easily and took Cranston West into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 21-25, 18-25, 25-21, 18-16.

Abby Tiernan paced Chariho's offense, picking up 11 kills. Tiernan got some help from Olivia Lowell and her 16 assists. Alexis Korus controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Chariho's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Chariho will host East Greenwich at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cranston West, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Barrington at 6:30 p.m. on the 29th.
