Basketball Game Preview: Bethlehem Catholic Hawks vs. Easton Area Rovers

The Bethlehem Catholic Hawks will face off against the Easton Area Rovers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Easton Area took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bethlehem Catholic, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Bethlehem Catholic earned a 49-41 win over Northampton. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Meanwhile, Easton Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The matchup between them and Nazareth Area didn't end well, with Easton Area falling 65-51. While losing is never fun, the Rovers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 370th, while the Blue Eagles are ranked 168th).

Bethlehem Catholic will need focus on slowing down Tyshaun Dunlap, one of several Easton Area players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Saboor Houser, who earned nine points.

Bethlehem Catholic's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-4. As for Easton Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Bethlehem Catholic didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Easton Area in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 38-34 win.
