Volleyball Recap: Larkin Royals vs. Dundee-Crown Chargers
Larkin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Dundee-Crown Chargers. The Royals were not able to make up for their loss to the Chargers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-7.
Dundee-Crown's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nina Marcant, who had ten digs and four aces. That's the most digs Marcant has posted over her last seven contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Maura Minogue, who had ten digs and two assists.
Larkin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-23. As for Dundee-Crown, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-16.
Coming up, Larkin will be taking part in a tournament against Zion-Benton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Dundee-Crown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jacobs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
