Baseball Recap: Bucklin Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous seven meetings between Bucklin and Elkhart, and Elkhart kept the tradition alive. Bucklin lost 11-1 to Elkhart on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 on Monday.

Bucklin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Feikert, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That hit marked the first that Feikert got this season.

Bucklin's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Elkhart, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bucklin will head out to take on Minneola at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elkhart, they will take on Hugoton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
