Softball Recap: Beamer Gets the Win

Beamer's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Auburn Trojans, sneaking past 16-15. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Titans' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Asialynn Solia and Lauren Williams did most of the damage at the plate: Solia scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Williams went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Annette Sagale, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Beamer's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Auburn, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beamer will welcome White River at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season. As for Auburn, they will host Kentwood at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
