Baseball Game Preview: Reeths-Puffer Rockets vs. Mona Shores Sailors

Reeths-Puffer is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will head out to face off against the Mona Shores Sailors at 6:00 p.m. Reeths-Puffer will be strutting in after a win while Mona Shores will be coming in after a loss.

On Monday, Reeths-Puffer was able to grind out a solid victory over West Michigan Christian, taking the game 5-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rockets.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Mona Shores and Grand Haven, and Grand Haven kept the tradition alive. The Sailors came up short against the Buccaneers on Friday, falling 12-6.

Eli Habetler was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Hunter Krueger was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Reeths-Puffer's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Mona Shores, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-4.

Reeths-Puffer couldn't quite finish off Mona Shores in their previous meeting back in June of 2024 and fell 2-0. Can the Rockets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
