Softball Recap: Columbia Central Golden Eagles vs. Hanover-Horton Comets
Columbia Central made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Hanover-Horton, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Comets by a score of 5-3 on Friday. That makes it the first time this season the Golden Eagles have let down their home crowd.

Hailey Wetherby spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances.
