            Basketball Recap: North Moore Mustangs vs. Montgomery Central Timberwolves        
        
		
        
        
            North Moore posted their biggest  victory since January 8th on Friday. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the  64-34 stomp they got against the Montgomery Central Timberwolves.

 Colby Pennington was  his usual excellent self,  dropping  a double-double on 16 points and 19  rebounds. Those 19  rebounds gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Isaac Parsons, who  went 6 of 9  en route to 12  points and five  rebounds.
 North Moore was working as a unit and  finished the game with 12  assists. That's the most  assists they've managed all season.
 Despite the  defeat, Montgomery Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Christopher Curtis  posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  K?Navi Harris, who  had eight points.
North Moore's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Montgomery Central,  they are  on  a  23-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
 North Moore wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  64-52  loss against Southern Alamance on the 28th. As for Montgomery Central, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  91-56  defeat against Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy on the 28th.
