Gideon waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Central Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Karli Ashabranner paced Gideon's offense, picking up nine kills. Ashabranner got some help from Aubree Sharp and her 20 assists. Sharp was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Gideon's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5-2.

Gideon has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Grandview on the 13th. As for Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Parkway Central on the 13th.
